S he loved her family and her friends with her whole heart. If you were in her life, you felt it. She had a way of making people feel important, seen, and cared for. Her love wasn’t quiet; it was strong, constant, and always there when you needed it most.
To me, she was more than just my mom. She was my safe place, my person. The one I could call about anything. The one who listened, who understood, and who loved me no matter what.
She also found so much peace and happiness at the beach. There was just something about the ocean that matched her spirit: calm, strong, and endless. I like to think of her there now… free, at peace, with the waves rolling in and the sun shining down on her.
And she was an author: she told stories, she shared pieces of herself with the world. That says so much about who she was. She didn’t just live life, she wanted to capture it, to share it, to leave something behind. And she did. Her words, her stories, her love… they will stay with us.
There’s a space in my life now that can never be filled. I miss her voice, her laugh, the little everyday moments that meant everything. But I also know that her love didn’t leave; it lives on in all of us.
In the way we love each other. In the way we show up for one another. In the memories we hold onto and the stories we keep telling.
Mom, I miss you more than I can ever explain. I love you so much. And I promise to carry your love with me every single day.
