I have been asked to be a speaker at this event in October. I was thrilled that all the pieces fell into place. I was a guest speaker on the Co-host podcast a year in a half ago. The exciting fact is that Mae was my first podcast ever. I shared my story about the Season of a Mothers Heart. We connected and became kindred spirits. So, when asked to be a speaker I jumped at the opportunity.
The event is titled, Trauma to Triumph, there will be four speakers for the event. Plus, workshops. I believe God has given us the open door to start talking and building a tribe of healing believers. We are locking arms with each other and forming this tribe of women that are done with carrying their junk and allowing God to heal and set them free. There is more information today about trauma and how to let go. I tell women on the podcasts that I have been on, that our trauma isn't a death sentence but a first aid kit for people behind us waiting to see how we move on. The burdens of the past do not have to define us. There is so much information now out and avenues for healing to take place.
I will be talking about how there is healing in our story. I believe the more we share our stories, the more we realize we are not alone. Stories bring us together and also can set us apart victorious for the kingdom. I have been vulnerable through the years with sharing my story so others could share theirs. There is healing hanging onto the hem of his garment. I choose to share so the prison gates can be opened, and we can be set free. He turns our ashes into beauty and gives back double what has been stolen from us. We are not our trauma, but we are who Christ says we are- redeemed and set free.
I personally will also be doing a workshop on, how you are God's treasure. We will be painting treasure boxes and writing letters to our younger self. I am excited about my workshop. Women walking away with a reminder of who God says they are!! This is a profound workshop with realizing your value.
