Hi, I’m an arts therapist who has witnessed the power of art and mindfulness to heal and
transform people’s lives. And, after years of dealing with my own trauma, I decided to create a
book to help others.
II believe we can all enhance our healing process ourselves while working alongside
professionals. Also, some people can’t afford to see a psychologist, or some aren’t taking on
new clients, and wait times can be months if not years.
It is important to consult your doctor and a psychologist when you are ready to begin your
healing journey, so you can get a proper diagnosis. That way you know what you are dealing
with and how best to set yourself on a path of recovery.
Also, many people have Faith. This gives you understanding and purpose. A part of Faith is
prayer and for some that extends to meditation. And there's even more you can do.
I have published a book that shows how mindfulness and arts therapy can be incorporated into
your healing journey, and I want to share it with you, today for free!
Seven Steps to Healing Trauma with Mindful Arts Therapy, will take you through the seven
steps of processing healing while focusing on the benefits of mindfulness and arts therapy. It
emphasizes the importance of developing an awareness and then acknowledging one's pain.
Each person travels their own journey of healing in different ways. Some may move quickly
through the seven steps only to find they need to revisit them, while others move slowly.
Everyone is unique and so is your healing journey.
On the whole, the essence of healing lies in moving through these stages at one's own pace,
understanding that it is not a linear process but rather a complex and nuanced one. Each step,
whether it involves acceptance, grieving, or forgiveness, contributes to the overarching goal of
reclaiming inner peace and wholeness.
Engaging actively with your negative emotions, exploring your motivations, and ultimately
getting to a place of peace, paves the way for personal growth, healing and inner
empowerment.
Mindfulness and art therapy can play a significant role in the healing and recovery process by
providing a non-verbal outlet for expression and processing emotions. They allow you to
develop an awareness of your negative feelings and acknowledge your trauma in a safe and
controlled manner, often revealing emotions and memories that are difficult to articulate with
words. Through creative activities like drawing, painting, or sculpting, people can express their
feelings and experiences, which can be cathartic and help in releasing pent-up emotions.
It is a multifaceted approach to healing that integrates the practice of mindfulness with creative
expression, providing a unique pathway for you to explore and process complex emotions and

trauma. This form of therapy encourages a non-verbal, sensory-based dialogue where people
can externalize difficult feelings through artistic mediums such as drawing, painting, music, or
dance.
By engaging in these activities, people often bypass the cognitive barriers that language can
impose, allowing for a more direct expression and processing of emotions. The act of creating
art in a mindful state can help to ground individuals in the present moment, fostering a sense of
calm and focus that can be particularly beneficial for those dealing with trauma.
The tactile and sensory engagement involved in artistic creation can serve as a form of somatic
experiences, helping to soothe and regulate the nervous system, which is often dysregulated in
people who have experienced trauma.
Along with self-care, self-compassion and spending time in nature, using simple but effective art
therapy activities and mindfulness, you can enhance and empower your recovery from trauma.
